He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, but not wholeheartedly.

 God will overthrow you before the enemy, for God has the power to help or to overthrow.”

Amaziah, however, would not listen, for God so worked that he might deliver them into the hands of Jehoash, because they sought the gods of Edom. 

Lord God my Father,

Search me and find my darkness, reveal how I can allow you in to remove it and carry only your light. Only with you, can I be made right and share your way well. Help me to listen only to you.
