But those who obey God’s word truly show how completely they love him.
Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.
And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. 15And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.
Dear children, keep away from anything that might take God’s place in your hearts.
Lord God,
May I without distraction obey you, Fill and protect my mind and spirit with your desire not allowing the distractions around me to get in your way so I may do only your will. May my desires be completely surrendered to you.
