“We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered.

18 “Bring them here to me,”he said.

When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”

He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them. 6He was amazed at their lack of faith.

They said to him, “That would take more than half a year’s wages! Are we to go and spend that much on bread and give it to them to eat?”

After leaving them, he went up on a mountainside to pray.

Lord God my Father,

Help me to have the faith you designed for me so your work comes naturally through me. Keep me from doubt and allow confidence to rest well in all situations before me. Give me faith of Peter and allow me to walk on water without fear weakening me. Show me the way and open my eyes to see it. Draw me near and help me to call on you before all encounters.

Then Jesus said, “Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.”

“Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”

So the man went away and began to tell in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him. And all the people were amazed.

 “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”

As you enter the home, give it your greeting.13If the home is deserving, let your peace rest on it; if it is not, let your peace return to you.

Lord God my Father,

Open my heart so I may know you. Give me Peace to guide and strengthen me. Give me a faith that reveals you and brings freedom to my thoughts.

“ ‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. 15 For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.’

“The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man.38The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom. The weeds are the people of the evil one,39and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.

“Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.”

Lord God my Father,

Open my heart and quiet my thoughts so I may know you. Give me understanding as you desire it and keep me from struggling to understand. Help me to have the right spirit to hear and follow and discernment of the ever present darkness. Allow your Peace to be my confidence.

In Jesus name I pray,

 “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.10For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are healthy, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are unhealthy, your body also is full of darkness.35See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness.36Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be just as full of light as when a lamp shines its light on you.”

When Jesus went outside, the Pharisees and the teachers of the law began to oppose him fiercely and to besiege him with questions, 54waiting to catch him in something he might say.

Lord God my Father,

You are provider and sustainer, you are all things good. Fill me with your way and bring your Peace on me so it may transform me and your light will shine out from me so others will desire it. Make me aware of any darkness so I may release it to you. I know darkness will not leave without a fight so prepare me for the battle of the day and make your light shine.

From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been subjected to violence, and violent people have been raiding it.13For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John.14And if you are willing to accept it, he is the Elijah who was to come.15Whoever has ears, let them hear.

For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon.’19The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ But wisdom is proved right by her deeds.”

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.29Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.30For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Lord God my Father,

Your way is Truth and my sinful nature struggles with Truth. Lord God, help me to surrender my way and follow you without compromise. Purify me in your way and bring your Peace to overwhelm my desires so I may experience this day with your delight resting with me.

“The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.38Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”

Lord God my Father,

You are all knowing and the designer of all things. Use me to do your will and share your way with the world. Thank you for allowing your way to be available, help me to know you.

In Jesus name I pray,

And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black.37All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

“Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.

Lord God my Father,

Help me to find your Peace and allow it to guide me in all decisions. Keep me from overthinking your simple way and create confusion in your direction. You are the only treasure worthy of my focus so help me to tear off anything that competes with your way. I seek to remove my desire so it can be replace with your perfect one, understanding my sin nature is always trying to influence your will. May your Peace only, lead me through this day in it’s struggles.

But the Pharisees went out and plotted how they might kill Jesus.

“Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.

You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? 

Whenever the impure spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, “You are the Son of God.” 12But he gave them strict orders not to tell others about him.

Whoever does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother.”

 “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?

Lord God my Father,

You are all mighty and all knowing, give me wisdom to know evil from good so I may not allow deceit go guide me. Keep my focus on you alone to there is not conflict in my desire. Show me how to keep evil away from me and not try to do your job. Show your Love in my ways and make me obedient to you alone.

In Jesus name I pray,

Then the whole town went out to meet Jesus. And when they saw him, they pleaded with him to leave their region.

Immediately Jesus knew in his spirit that this was what they were thinking in their hearts, and he said to them, “Why are you thinking these things?9Which is easier: to say to this paralyzed man, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, take your mat and walk’?

“The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.

Lord God my Father,

Reveal the evil in me that wants you to leave so I won’t grow. Cause me to thirst for you alone and give me clarity of your way. You know my heart and the distractions I carry, bring Peace over my thoughts so your Truth can take hold and cause me to honor you with all I am.

After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said. Then they believed the scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken.

“Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.6Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18Whoever believes in him is not condemned,

This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 

But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

“A person can receive only what is given them from heaven.

He must become greater; I must become less.”

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.

“Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again,14but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”

Lord God my Father,

You are the Truth and the Light, in you all things good rest. Thank you for making your Spirit so close that I may feel it when I seek you. Thank you for making me better when I am with you, keep me close so my sinful nature is kept at bay. Your way is delightful and fills me with a Peace that overwhelms. Help me to receive your gift and allow it to transform me to your will with boldness and love.
