those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

I look but there is no one— no one among the gods to give counsel, no one to give answer when I ask them.

29See, they are all false! Their deeds amount to nothing; their images are but wind and confusion.

I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, 7to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.

Lord God my Father,

You are my hope and strength, help me to keep my focus on this truth. Keep me from being distracted by fear or confusion, allow only your Peace to be in my thoughts. Give my thoughts good counsel and keep me in your Truth.

This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid of what you have heard—those words with which the underlings of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.

Have you not heard? Long ago I ordained it. In days of old I planned it; now I have brought it to pass, that you have turned fortified cities into piles of stone.

Lord God my Father,

Give me a faith that protects me from fear and cause me to thrive in what I put my hands to. Give me a confidence that you are in control of all things and I need not question your plan. Cause me to follow you without my expectations getting in the way.

“Hear the words of the great king, the king of Assyria! 14This is what the king says: Do not let Hezekiah deceive you. He cannot deliver you! 15Do not let Hezekiah persuade you to trust in the Lord when he says, ‘The Lord will surely deliver us; this city will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.’

Lord God my Father,

Let me get my strength from you and not allow fear to distract me. Help me to do your will without hesitation.

“In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it. 16You said, ‘No, we will flee on horses.’

Help me be still and allow your desire to flow through me this day.

His God instructs him and teaches him the right way.

but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me

When they see among them their children, the work of my hands, they will keep my name holy;

Those who are wayward in spirit will gain understanding; those who complain will accept instruction.”

Lord God my Father,

Instruct me and cause me to be obedient, turn my heart to only know you. Your glory is all around me and humbles me. Direct me to your path and keep me from straying off it.

But the more they were called, the more they went away from me. They sacrificed to the Baals and they burned incense to images.

My people are determined to turn from me. Even though they call me God Most High, I will by no means exalt them.

When I fed them, they were satisfied; when they were satisfied, they became proud; then they forgot me.

Lord God my Father,

Help me to not turn from you and follow you without my opinion getting in the way. I am a stubborn sinner desperately wanting to live by your plan which is so much more delightful than anything I could imagine. Keep me from getting proud as your Peace grows in me and make me a seeker of you in all situations I experience.

I will show my love to the one I called ‘Not my loved one.’ I will say to those called ‘Not my people,’ ‘You are my people’; and they will say, ‘You are my God.’ ”

Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear;

Lord God my Father,

Show me the way to your heart so I may replace mine. Bring your stillness to my thoughts so I may hear you and follow your way. You are the only way I can experience life as it is meant to be. Thank you for never leaving myside, help me to believe this Truth.

‘The Lord will surely deliver us; this city will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.’

How then can the Lord deliver Jerusalem from my hand?”

Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced at what God had brought about for his people, because it was done so quickly.

Lord God my Father,

You are my protector and deliverer, keep me safe from the deceiver and give me focus to follow you plan. To you all glory of all I do.

‘And the Lord was with him; he was successful in whatever he undertook. He rebelled against the king of Assyria and did not serve him. ‘

So the service of the temple of the Lord was reestablished. 36Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced at what God had brought about for his people, because it was done so quickly.

Lord God my Father,

Be with me and make me more successful than my dreams with your guidance and focus. Protect my thoughts and keep me on your track. Help me to restore your place in my life to your design.

From the ends of the earth we hear singing: “Glory to the Righteous One.”

The earth reels like a drunkard, it sways like a hut in the wind; so heavy upon it is the guilt of its rebellion that it falls—never to rise again.

Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago.

He humbles those who dwell on high,

Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts.

Lord God my Father,

You are the Glory of all things, help me to worship you in all my struggles and not rebel against your plan. I want to embrace you in all times good and bad, you restore me to wholeness. I want to have your presence constantly in my thoughts and engage the day with your presence.
