To humans belong the plans of the heart, but from the Lord comes the proper answer of the tongue.

2All a person’s ways seem pure to them, but motives are weighed by the Lord.

3Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.

4The Lord works out everything to its proper end— even the wicked for a day of disaster.

Starting a quarrel is like breaching a dam; so drop the matter before a dispute breaks out.

The human spirit can endure in sickness, but a crushed spirit who can bear?

Lord God my Father,

Your way leads to a Peace I cannot understand. Your way is delightful and good. Help me to listen to your wisdom and bring silence to my thoughts. Your way is perfect no matter what I think. Thank you for being so close and allowing me to know you.
