“You must not have any other god but me.

But I lavish unfailing love for a thousand generations on those who love me and obey my commands.

Oh, that they would always have hearts like this, that they might fear me and obey all my commands! 

For we will be counted as righteous when we obey all the commands the Lord our God has given us.’

Do not let your daughters and sons marry their sons and daughters, 4for they will lead your children away from me to worship other gods. 

Do not bring any detestable objects into your home, for then you will be destroyed, just like them. You must utterly detest such things, for they are set apart for destruction.

Lord God my Father,

You alone are God, keep my heart close so I may follow only you. Allow my love of you to be my strength. Allow your way to be seen by me and keep me on your path. Protect me from distractions and make me pure in your sight.

In Jesus name I pray,

Do not be afraid of the nations there, for the Lord your God will fight for you.’

Do not add to or subtract from these commands I am giving you. Just obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you.

Do not make idols of any shape or form, for the Lord your God has forbidden this.

“He showed you these things so you would know that the Lord is God and there is no other. 

Lord God my Father,

Keep me secure and free from fear, you are a god of peace. Keep me in your word and comfortable with your desire. Protect me from having a wondering mind and satisfied with you alone. Keep me from building idols.

 Don’t be afraid of anyone’s anger, for the decision you make is God’s decision. 

“But even after all he did, you refused to trust the Lord your God, 33who goes before you looking for the best places to camp,

“But the Lord told me to tell you, ‘Do not attack, for I am not with you. If you go ahead on your own, you will be crushed by your enemies.’

“The Lord our God also helped us conquer 

However, we avoided the land of the Ammonites all along the Jabbok River and the towns in the hill country—all the places the Lord our God had commanded us to leave alone.

Lord God my Father,

Allow your Truth, Peace and Power to rest well on me and release my weakness from my thoughts. Keep me so close that I may only follow your desire and release your will in all things I do today. I am sorry when I don’t listen to you and wonder. Help me to conquer the evil that is before me and rest in your plan.

In Jesus name I pray,

This will ensure that the land where you live will not be polluted, for murder pollutes the land. And no sacrifice except the execution of the murderer can purify the land from murder.

You must not defile the land where you live, for I live there myself. I am the Lord, who lives among the people of Israel.”

Lord God my Father,

Protect me from dishonoring you in the land you give me. Holp me to keep in in such a way as to honor you.

In Jesus name I pray,

This is the route the Israelites followed as they marched out of Egypt under the leadership of Moses and Aaron.

But if you fail to drive out the people who live in the land, those who remain will be like splinters in your eyes and thorns in your sides. They will harass you in the land where you live. 56And I will do to you what I had planned to do to them.”

Lord God my Father,

You know the path I should take, help me to follow it. Keep me from compromising your plan with my own desire or allow others to lead me astray.

“On behalf of the people of Israel, take revenge on the Midianites for leading them into idolatry. 

for they have not obeyed me wholeheartedly.

Lord God my Father,

Keep my heart near and my love on you alone. Protect me from wondering in my passion and worship only you and obey your way.

“On the eighth day of the festival, proclaim another holy day. You must do no ordinary work on that day. 

Lord God my Father,

Keep me still, help me to learn to quiet my thoughts and be still in your presence.

God is not a man, so he does not lie.

He is not human, so he does not change his mind.

““Phinehas son of Eleazar and grandson of Aaron the priest has turned my anger away from the Israelites by being as zealous among them as I was. So I stopped destroying all Israel as I had intended to do in my zealous anger.Alas, who can survive unless God has willed it?

Lord God my Father,

Allow your Truth to rest well with me and give me courage to follow it well. Keep me from temptation and drive me to do your desire without hesitation.

But the people grew impatient with the long journey, 5and they began to speak against God and Moses. “Why have you brought us out of Egypt to die here in the wilderness?” they complained. “There is nothing to eat here and nothing to drink. And we hate this horrible manna!”

6So the Lord sent poisonous snakes among the people, and many were bitten and died. 7Then the people came to Moses and cried out, “We have sinned by speaking against the Lord and against you. Pray that the Lord will take away the snakes.” So Moses prayed for the people.

Even if Balak were to give me his palace filled with silver and gold, I would be powerless to do anything against the will of the Lord my God.

Then the Lord gave the donkey the ability to speak. “What have I done to you that deserves your beating me three times?” it asked Balaam.

29“You have made me look like a fool!” Balaam shouted. “If I had a sword with me, I would kill you!”

Three times the donkey saw me and shied away; otherwise, I would certainly have killed you by now and spared the donkey.”

Lord God my Father,

Keep me from impatience with your plan. Keep me quiet in my desires. Help me to learn how to allow the Peace of your design to rest in me. Help me to not judge the interactions I face today.

In Jesus name I pray,

 But be careful not to treat the holy gifts of the people of Israel as though they were common. If you do, you will die.”

 “Listen, you rebels!” he shouted. “Must we bring you water from this rock?” 11Then Moses raised his hand and struck the rock twice with the staff, and water gushed out. So the entire community and their livestock drank their fill.

Lord God my Father,

Your gifts to me are sacred and holy, help me to give you the respect you deserve and not defile your holiness with my thoughts. Keep me from not trusting you and your plan and to be obedient.
