Then I began to weep bitterly because no one was found worthy to open the scroll and read it.

“Blessing and honor and glory and power belong to the one sitting on the throne and to the Lamb forever and ever.”

The godly will crowd around me, for you are good to me.”

But the people who did not die in these plagues still refused to repent of their evil deeds and turn to God. They continued to worship demons and idols made of gold, silver, bronze, stone, and wood—idols that can neither see nor hear nor walk! 21And they did not repent of their murders or their witchcraft or their sexual immorality or their thefts.

Their mouths are full of lies; they swear to tell the truth, but they lie instead.

Yes, joyful are those who live like this! Joyful indeed are those whose God is the Lord.

Lord God my Father,

Bring the worthy to power, groom me to make me worthy, only you are truly worthy. Be good to me and cause me to do good. Help me to see my sin so I can allow you to take it and build in me your Truth. Allow the Joy you bring to me to flourish.
