The world can’t hate you, but it does hate me because I accuse it of doing evil. 

 “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”

Why can’t you understand what I am saying? It’s because you can’t even hear me!

He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Anyone who belongs to God listens gladly to the words of God. But you don’t listen because you don’t belong to God.”

“I will not go home; I will not let myself rest. 4I will not let my eyes sleep nor close my eyelids in slumber 5until I find a place to build a house for the Lord, a sanctuary for the Mighty One of Israel.”

Lord God my Father,

Remove my stubborn way and release a desire in me to glorify you alone. Keep me from the temptations of my lazy way and give me focus on your will and power. May my efforts bring you glory this day.
