Lord God my Father,

Open my heart and remove all my excuses, cause me to follow you with my whole heart, help me to be fresh in your desire like a child. Only you are good, and any good I have is only from you. Take my strongholds and restore me to your desire for me above my own.

Yes, it will be ‘business as usual’ right up to the day when the Son of Man is revealed.

but this woman is driving me crazy. I’m going to see that she gets justice, because she is wearing me out with her constant requests!’”

Lord God my Father,

Thank you for hearing and knowing me, Your love for me is hard to know. The fact that you, the creator of all, takes time to know me is too much to process. I am grateful you have always been there for me, even when I ignored you. I am grateful you allowed me to live to today and never give up on me. Every day you bring a new level of delight to me. Thank you for your design and patience. Help me to keep my focus on you and allow you to have your way this day.

“The rich man had to admire the dishonest rascal for being so shrewd. And it is true that the children of this world are more shrewd in dealing with the world around them than are the children of the light. 9Here’s the lesson: Use your worldly resources to benefit others and make friends. Then, when your possessions are gone, they will welcome you to an eternal home.

“You like to appear righteous in public, but God knows your hearts. What this world honors is detestable in the sight of God.

“But Abraham said, ‘If they won’t listen to Moses and the prophets, they won’t be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.’”

“The Teacher is here and wants to see you.” 

Give me the desire to do whatever it takes to honor your desire for me. Give me the determination and motivation to serve you all day, every day. Keep me from false humility and grow my faith. I want to learn how to listen to you, I want to see you.

After he has gathered his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they know his voice. 

“The Father loves me because I sacrifice my life so I may take it back again. 18No one can take my life from me. I sacrifice it voluntarily. For I have the authority to lay it down when I want to and also to take it up again. For this is what my Father has commanded.”

Lord God my Father,

I know you and I will follow you. Remove the distractions I allow so my focus is locked on your desire. You are the only way to excellence and Peace.

 “It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,” Jesus answered. “This happened so the power of God could be seen in him.

‘Go to the pool of Siloam and wash yourself.’ So I went and washed, and now I can see!”

“You were born a total sinner!” they answered. “Are you trying to teach us?” And they threw him out of the synagogue.

“I entered this world to render judgment—to give sight to the blind and to show those who think they see9:39b Greek those who see. that they are blind.”

Lord God my Father,

Help me in my weakness to allow your strength to enter me and bring healing. Help me to discard my sinful ways and represent you as you desire. Help me to allow your teachings to rest well with me and transform me to your vision of who I am.

 “I tell you the truth, everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, the Son of Man 12:8 “Son of Man” is a title Jesus used for himself. will also acknowledge in the presence of God’s angels. 

“So don’t be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom.

Lord God my Father,

All I want to do is cry out your name, give me the opportunity to witness your amazing glory so others can experience it as well. Give me courage to act on your nudges!

You belong to this world; I do not.

 And yet some of you are trying to kill me because there’s no room in your hearts for my message. 

“If God were your Father, you would love me, because I have come to you from God. I am not here on my own, but he sent me. 43Why can’t you understand what I am saying? It’s because you can’t even hear me! 44For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. 

 He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies. 45So when I tell the truth, you just naturally don’t believe me!

Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. 

 “Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.”

Lord God my Father,

Help me to move past my reality and accept yours as it is. Allow your Truth to own my thoughts and give me wisdom on how to share you. Allow your perfect Truth to overwhelm the ways of the world I accept and cause me to only accept you. Give me strength to overcome the sin I am comfortable with and allow me to crush it with your authority. Keep me from seeing the world from my limited perspective and rely on you completely.

The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify that its works are evil.8You go to the festival. I am not7:8 Some manuscripts not yet going up to this festival, because my time has not yet fully come.

“He is a good man.” Others replied, “No, he deceives the people.” 

Stop judging by mere appearances, but instead judge correctly.”

Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” 11 “No one, sir,” she said. “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”

Lord God my Father,

Allow your goodness to rest on me and keep me from fear of what others might think. Keep my heart under your authority and help me to allow you to be the judge of all in me. Keep me from opinions that are not in line with who you are.

 I asked your disciples to drive out the spirit, but they could not.”

19 “You unbelieving generation,”Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.”

“ ‘If you can’?”said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”

24Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”

Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?”

20He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

But they did not understand what this meant. It was hidden from them, so that they did not grasp it, and they were afraid to ask him about it.

“Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.”

“Do not stop him,”Jesus said, “for whoever is not against you is for you.”

Lord God my Father,

Give me a faith that is stronger than the world, allow me to believe without compromising your ability to heal me and restore your proper place in my life. Keep me from struggling to understand your plan and just follow your will. Allow your understanding to rest on me as you desire. Keep me from allowing anything to come between us.

“You are blessed, Simon son of John,16:17 Greek Simon bar-Jonah; see John 1:42; 21:15-17. because my Father in heaven has revealed this to you. You did not learn this from any human being.

 “But who do you say I am?” Peter replied, “You are the Messiah9:20 Or the Christ. Messiah (a Hebrew term) and Christ (a Greek term) both mean “anointed one.” sent from God!”

As he talked about this openly with his disciples, Peter took him aside and began to reprimand him for saying such things.

Jesus turned around and looked at his disciples, then reprimanded Peter. “Get away from me, Satan!” he said. “You are seeing things merely from a human point of view, not from God’s.”

Then a cloud appeared and covered them, and a voice came from the cloud: “This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to him!”

Lord God my Father,

Reveal to me what I am able to see and help me to allow your Truth to restore me. Keep me from my desire to direct your plan but to accept it as it is. Allow your will to overwhelm me.
