All you who fear the Lord, trust the Lord! He is your helper and your shield.

The Lord protects those of childlike faith; I was facing death, and he saved me. 7Let my soul be at rest again, for the Lord has been good to me.

Thank you for giving me confidence in your power and plan. Protect me and help me to be still in your presence. I am grateful to know you and your nature, this is where my peace comes from. Thank you for your grace and strength that will be with me forever.

Has the Lord redeemed you? Then speak out!

“Lord, help!” they cried in their trouble, and he rescued them from their distress.

He calmed the storm to a whisper and stilled the waves.

How joyful are those who fear the Lord and delight in obeying his commands.

Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord,

Lord God my Father,

You have redeemed me and restored me. You help me when I cry out to you and calm my struggles. You bring delight to my soul.

The Lord blanketed Egypt in darkness, for they had defied105:28 As in Greek and Syriac versions; Hebrew reads had not defied. his commands to let his people go.

They forgot God, their savior, who had done such great things in Egypt— 22such wonderful things in the land of Ham, such awesome deeds at the Red Sea. 23So he declared he would destroy them. But Moses, his chosen one, stepped between the Lord and the people. He begged him to turn from his anger and not destroy them.

Again and again he rescued them, but they chose to rebel against him, and they were finally destroyed by their sin.

Lord God my Father,

Keep me close so your light can protect me from the darkness around me. Make your path obvious to me so I can only follow you. I praise you and worship you in all things because your plan is perfect. Rescue me from the distractions ahead with your Peace.

O Lord, what a variety of things you have made! In wisdom you have made them all.

May all my thoughts be pleasing to him, for I rejoice in the Lord.

Your royal laws cannot be changed. Your reign, O Lord, is holy forever and ever.

Light shines on the godly, and joy on those whose hearts are right. 12May all who are godly rejoice in the Lord and praise his holy name!

You are perfect and Holy Peace comes from you. Shape my heart to only respond to your desire. As I praise you, give me courage to shine in the darkness, your light and salvation.

Sinners will have no place among the godly.

1Why are the nations so angry? Why do they waste their time with futile plans? 2The kings of the earth prepare for battle; the rulers plot together against the Lord and against his anointed one. 3“Let us break their chains,” they cry, “and free ourselves from slavery to God.”

But what joy for all who take refuge in him!

Lord God my Father,

Protect me from deception and sin, keep me close so your strength is mine. Keep me in your Peace and keep me from joining the world in the brokenness. Your Joy delights me and guides me.

Come, everyone! Clap your hands! Shout to God with joyful praise! 2For the Lord Most High is awesome.

For that is what God is like. He is our God forever and ever, and he will guide us until we die.

With my whole being, body and soul, I will shout joyfully to the living God.

What joy for those whose strength comes from the Lord,

Lord God my Father,

You are the creator of delight, help me to seek you well. I wish to only bring worship to you and delight in your presence. You are the designer of my days.

Babylon, the most glorious of kingdoms, the flower of Chaldean pride, will be devastated like Sodom and Gomorrah when God destroyed them.

This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: “I, myself, have risen against Babylon! I will destroy its children and its children’s children,” says the Lord.

23“I will make Babylon a desolate place of owls, filled with swamps and marshes. I will sweep the land with the broom of destruction. I, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, have spoken!”

When oppression and destruction have ended and enemy raiders have disappeared, 5then God will establish one of David’s descendants as king. He will rule with mercy and truth. He will always do what is just and be eager to do what is right.

Lord God my Father,

Crush the leaders leading the people away from you. Make your plan so delightful that all will follow you. Reveal the corruption wherever it rests, starting with the corruption in me. Make us pure so we can delight in you as you desire. Restore us and give discernment to us so we can stand against the darkness. You are God, I am not.

Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and my God!

Only by your power can we push back our enemies; only in your name can we trample our foes.

God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.

Lord God my Father,

Keep my eyes focused on you, protect me from the darkness that wants to draw me in. It’s only in your power I can delight no matter what the struggle is before me. You are ever present and your strength is so much better than mine.

Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to him for protection. 6Do not add to his words, or he may rebuke you and expose you as a liar.

Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised. 31Reward her for all she has done. Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.

Lord God my Father,

You are the Truth and your Truth is my Peace and protection. Help your way to rest on me as it should. Open my eyes to have discernment in the world and keep me in your way and away from the way of this world.
