I know, my God, that you examine our hearts and rejoice when you find integrity there.

Give my son Solomon the wholehearted desire to obey all your commands, laws, and decrees, and to do everything necessary to build this Temple, for which I have made these preparations.”

About that time David’s son Adonijah, whose mother was Haggith, began boasting, “I will make myself king.”

Lord God my Father,

Give me heart that longs for you without distraction. Give me the wholehearted desire to obey you and do everything you desire for me to do. Protect me from the attack of darkness.
