“Anyone who isn’t with me opposes me, and anyone who isn’t working with me is actually working against me.

“But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.”

As Jesus was leaving, the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees became hostile and tried to provoke him with many questions. 54They wanted to trap him into saying something they could use against him.

Lord God my Father,

I am with you, help me to grow stronger in my walk and do your will without hesitation. Bring unity for you into my thoughts and remove the distractions I am tempted by.

 the Kingdom of Heaven has been forcefully advancing,11:12 Or the Kingdom of Heaven has suffered from violence. and violent people are attacking it. 

 But wisdom is shown to be right by its results.”

Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

Lord God my Father,

Give me courage as your servant to stand in your Truth in Love. Allow my actions to please you and show me how to allow you in to take my load so I don’t rely on my own efforts alone.

 “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do.” 

for she thought, “If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.”

When they heard this, all the people—even the tax collectors—agreed that God’s way was right,7:29 Or praised God for his justice. for they had been baptized by John. 30But the Pharisees and experts in religious law rejected God’s plan for them, for they had refused John’s baptism.

Lord God my Father,

Heal me for I am sick, allow me to steal a touch of your robe and forgive me of my many sins so I may delight in your presence this day.

“God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers. 12Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted in the same way.

 “You have heard that our ancestors were told, ‘You must not murder. If you commit murder, you are subject to judgment.’ 5:21 Exod 20:13; Deut 5:17. 22But I say, if you are even angry with someone,5:22a Some manuscripts add without cause. you are subject to judgment! If you call someone an idiot,5:22b Greek uses an Aramaic term of contempt: If you say to your brother, ‘Raca.’ you are in danger of being brought before the court. And if you curse someone,5:22c Greek if you say, ‘You fool.’ you are in danger of the fires of hell.

 “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.

Lord God my Father,

Keep me strong in your Truth no matter what the world says and make me bold as I share life with others. Keep my heart from temptation so my thoughts remain in you. Use me to bring your message to others as you desire.

Anyone who does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother!”

At this, the enemies of Jesus were wild with rage and began to discuss what to do with him.

“A good tree can’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit. 

Lord God my Father,

Open my eyes and heart to truly follow you, protect me from the enemy and make me into a person who freely does your will.

In Jesus name I pray,

Those who have done good will rise to experience eternal life, and those who have continued in evil will rise to experience judgment.

And the Father who sent me has testified about me himself. You have never heard his voice or seen him face to face, 38and you do not have his message in your hearts, because you do not believe me—the one he sent to you.

No wonder you can’t believe! For you gladly honor each other, but you don’t care about the honor that comes from the one who alone is God

Lord God my Father,

Open my eyes to see you and your plan for me. Give me discernment to see past deceit to your truth only.

“Go back home. Because you believed, it has happened.” 

Jesus responded, “Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!” Then he got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm.

“Why are you interfering with us, Son of God? Have you come here to torture us before God’s appointed time?”

“Why do you question this in your hearts?

“Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.”

Lord God my Father,

Give me belief beyond my understanding, a faith that will do you work. Protect me from the demons I anger and give me a heart without questions. Heal me and use me.

 “Do whatever he tells you.”

 the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life.3:6 Greek what is born of the Spirit is spirit.

All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed. 21But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.3:21 Or can see God at work in what he is doing.”

For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”

Lord God my Father,

You own my body and spirit; I want to do whatever you tell me. Help me, give me strength to overcome temptation and live by your will alone. Deliver me to your desire.

 “If you are the Son of God, jump off! For the Scriptures say,

“I will give it all to you,” he said, “if you will kneel down and worship me.”

.Then the devil went away, and angels came and took care of Jesus.

And they left their nets at once and followed him.

They immediately followed him, leaving the boat and their father behind.

“I will give you the glory of these kingdoms and authority over them,” the devil said, “because they are mine to give to anyone I please. 7I will give it all to you if you will worship me.”

 “we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.” 6

Lord God my Father,

Give me wisdom and discernment to know when Satan is tempting me and the power to resist. Forgive me for my weakness when I fall. Direct my attention to stay on you and open my mind to understand. When my efforts fail, keep me close so I may succeed.

Yes, every tree that does not produce good fruit will be chopped down and thrown into the fire.

“It should be done, for we must carry out all that God requires.

You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.”

If you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean,” he said.

Lord God my Father,

Cleanse me of my worthlessness and direct my worth. Create in me a strength that only listens to you so I may please you. Create in me a willingness to follow you only.
