If I announce that a certain nation or kingdom is to be uprooted, torn down, and destroyed, 8but then that nation renounces its evil ways, I will not destroy it as I had planned. 9And if I announce that I will plant and build up a certain nation or kingdom, 10but then that nation turns to evil and refuses to obey me, I will not bless it as I said I would.

But the Lord stands beside me like a great warrior. Before him my persecutors will stumble. They cannot defeat me.

For I have decided to bring disaster and not good upon this city, says the Lord. It will be handed over to the king of Babylon, and he will reduce it to ashes.’

“People from many nations will pass by the ruins of this city and say to one another, ‘Why did the Lord destroy such a great city?’ 9And the answer will be, ‘Because they violated their covenant with the Lord their God by worshiping other gods.’”

Lord God my Father,

Your plan will happen, open my eyes and remove my thoughts. Allow me to follow you without question and speak your Truth with confidence, protect me from fear. Take my desire to fix the brokenness and allow me to trust in your plan, a plan I cannot understand yet. I trust you wholeheartedly.
