In this way, Solomon did what was evil in the Lord’s sight; he refused to follow the Lord completely, as his father, David, had done.

The Lord was very angry with Solomon, for his heart had turned away from the Lord, the God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice. 10He had warned Solomon specifically about worshiping other gods, but Solomon did not listen to the Lord’s command.

If you listen to what I tell you and follow my ways and do whatever I consider to be right, and if you obey my decrees and commands, as my servant David did, then I will always be with you. 

Lord God my Father,

Keep me close so the deceiver can’t influence me, protect me from wandering off your path and open my ears to hear your truth and only follow it.

God created people to be virtuous, but they have each turned to follow their own downward path.”

In this life, good people are often treated as though they were wicked, and wicked people are often treated as though they were good. This is so meaningless!

Plant your seed in the morning and keep busy all afternoon, for you don’t know if profit will come from one activity or another—or maybe both.

Lord God my Father,

Grant me the desire to move forward to completion with the projects I have open. Allow your desire to flow thru me to create a pleasing place of rest. Allow your strength to be the power I need to overwhelm my struggles.

So I decided there is nothing better than to enjoy food and drink and to find satisfaction in work. Then I realized that these pleasures are from the hand of God. 25For who can eat or enjoy anything apart from him?2:25 As in Greek and Syriac versions; Hebrew reads apart from me? 26God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy to those who please him. But if a sinner becomes wealthy, God takes the wealth away and gives it to those who please him. This, too, is meaningless—like chasing the wind.

That is our lot in life. And no one can bring us back to see what happens after we die.

Enjoy what you have rather than desiring what you don’t have. 

Lord God my Father,

Help me to understand your desire for how I live, your plan is perfect. Help me to create a legacy for today, for your Peace to make a difference. Help me to enjoy today.

The heartfelt counsel of a friend is as sweet as perfume and incense.

When there is moral rot within a nation, its government topples easily. But wise and knowledgeable leaders bring stability.

When the godly are in authority, the people rejoice.But when the wicked are in power, they groan.

Lord God my Father,

I quiet my heart so I can hear you, protect my thoughts from the ways of the world and give me discernment of those around me.

It is God’s privilege to conceal things and the king’s privilege to discover them.

Remove the impurities from silver, and the sterling will be ready for the silversmith.5Remove the wicked from the king’s court, and his reign will be made secure by justice.

Honoring a fool is as foolish as tying a stone to a slingshot.

Lord God my Father,

Allow your peace to overwhelm my desire to understand your plan and purify me to the point I can be shaped into your design for your purpose. Keep me from foolishness.

The Lord has made everything for his own purposes, even the wicked for a day of disaster.

Those who listen to instruction will prosper; those who trust the Lord will be joyful.

Better a dry crust eaten in peace than a house filled with feasting—and conflict.

It is safer to meet a bear robbed of her cubs than to confront a fool caught in foolishness.

Unfriendly people care only about themselves; Hey lash out at common sense.2Fools have no interest in understanding; They only want to air their own opinions.

Lord God my Father,

Keep me humble without understand in areas that may make me proud, allow your wisdom to pass thru me without my desire shaping it. Open my heart to what I can understand like your perfect plan is beyond my limited way. Allow your wisdom to have your way and Love as you designed it.

How great is our Lord! His power is absolute! His understanding is beyond comprehension!6The Lord supports the humble, but he brings the wicked down into the dust.

Lord God my Father,

Help me to be at peace in my thoughts because your plan is beyond my understanding, and I struggle to.

In Jesus name I pray,

For you said to him, ‘If your descendants guard their behavior and faithfully follow my Law as you have done, one of them will always sit on the throne of Israel.’ 

Yes, hear us from heaven where you live, and when you hear, forgive.

Forgive your people who have sinned against you.

“He is good! His faithful love endures forever!”

 and they worshiped other gods instead and bowed down to them. That is why he has brought all these disasters on them.’”

Lord God my Father,

Guard my heart and keep me near, forgive me of my sin and change my nature back to what you created me to be. Help me to worship you with every breath today.

You keep your covenant and show unfailing love to all who walk before you in wholehearted devotion. 

listen to my prayer and my plea, O Lord my God. Hear the cry and the prayer that your servant is making to you today.

Yes, hear us from heaven where you live, and when you hear, forgive.

Lord God my Father,

You are all that is Good, Truth and Love come from you. Keep me close so I may not wonder to far and bless my family and friends. Hear me, as you do, and allow me to feel your desire before my own.

I wish to only honor you, stay close and protect my thoughts from deceit. Keep your Truth close to me so I may know it.
