The Ark of God remained there in Obed-edom’s house for three months, and the Lord blessed the household of Obed-edom and everything he owned.

So David asked God, “Should I go out to fight the Philistines? Will you hand them over to me?”

So David did what God commanded, and they struck down the Philistine army all the way from Gibeon to Gezer.

Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done.9Sing to him; yes, sing his praises. Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds.10Exult in his holy name.

Lord God my Father,

Clear the fog in my thoughts, allow your desire to live in me and guide me to do your work.

There is joy for those who deal justly with others and always do what is right.4Remember me, Lord, when you show favor to your people; come near and rescue me.5Let me share in the prosperity of your chosen ones. Let me rejoice in the joy of your people; let me praise you with those who are your heritage.

That is why the Lord’s anger burned against his people, and he abhorred his own special possession.41He handed them over to pagan nations, and they were ruled by those who hated them.42Their enemies crushed them and brought them under their cruel power.43Again and again he rescued them, but they chose to rebel against him,

Lord God my Father,

You are my joy and peace, protect me from the deceiver.

This annual festival will be a visible sign to you, like a mark branded on your hand or your forehead. Let it remind you always to recite this teaching of the Lord: ‘With a strong hand, the Lord rescued you from Egypt.’

And once again I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will chase after you.

“Why did you bring us out here to die in the wilderness?

 It’s better to be a slave in Egypt than a corpse in the wilderness!’”

The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.”

When the people of Israel saw the mighty power that the Lord had unleashed against the Egyptians, they were filled with awe before him. They put their faith in the Lord and in his servant Moses.

“Sing to the Lord,for he has triumphed gloriously;he has hurled both horse and riderinto the sea.

Moses cried out to the Lord for help, and the Lord showed him a piece of wood. Moses threw it into the water, and this made the water good to drink.

He said, “If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his sight, obeying his commands and keeping all his decrees, then I will not make you suffer any of the diseases I sent on the Egyptians; for I am the Lord who heals you.”

Lord God my Father,

Expose your plan to me daily and help me stay focused on your plan for the day. Keep me from worry and help me keep my faith only in you. I am weak without you and your plan reveals so much more glory than I could ever imagine. Help me to listen only to you.

In Jesus name I pray,

Moses followed all these instructions exactly as the Lord had commanded him.

Lord God my Father,

May I follow you completely in all matters you desire for me.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Because the entire land has become defiled, I am punishing the people who live there.

So obey my instructions, and do not defile yourselves by committing any of these detestable practices that were committed by the people who lived in the land before you. I am the Lord your God.”

Lord God my Father,

Lead me into your desire for me, remove me from my desire.

Samuel was displeased with their request and went to the Lord for guidance. “Do everything they say to you,” the Lord replied, “for they are rejecting me, not you. They don’t want me to be their king any longer. Ever since I brought them from Egypt they have continually abandoned me and followed other gods. And now they are giving you the same treatment.

And don’t worry about those donkeys that were lost three days ago, for they have been found. And I am here to tell you that you and your family are the focus of all Israel’s hopes.”

At that time the Spirit of the Lord will come powerfully upon you, and you will prophesy with them. You will be changed into a different person. 

When Saul returned to his home at Gibeah, a group of men whose hearts God had touched went with him. But there were some scoundrels who complained, “How can this man save us?” And they scorned him and refused to bring him gifts. But Saul ignored them.

Lord God my Father,

May I come to you for all decisions and live in the peace that you are in control of everything. Allow you spirit to guide me in powerful ways and keep me under your authority.

In Jesus name I pray,

Do not stay so far from me,for trouble is near,and no one else can help me.12My enemies surround me like a herd of bulls;

All who seek the Lord will praise him.Their hearts will rejoice with everlasting joy.

Do not remember the rebellious sins of my youth.Remember me in the light of your unfailing love,for you are merciful, O Lord.

Lord God my Father,

I know you are close, help me to always be aware of your presence and rely on you. Keep me from distraction and grow me in the peace of your love.

In Jesus name I pray,

To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life. 7All who are victorious will inherit all these blessings, and I will be their God, and they will be my children.

 I am a servant of God, just like you and your brothers the prophets, as well as all who obey what is written in this book. Worship only God!”

May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s holy people.

Lord God my Father,

Make me one of your people, a servant to your desire. Your Grace is all I need.

O God, you have taught me from my earliest childhood,and I constantly tell others about the wonderful things you do.18Now that I am old and gray,do not abandon me, O God.Let me proclaim your power to this new generation,your mighty miracles to all who come after me.

This I declare about the Lord:He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;he is my God, and I trust him.3For he will rescue you from every trapand protect you from deadly disease.

Lord God my Father,

As I allow you to rest on me, you allow me to experience your Peace, you are my everything.

In Jesus name I pray,

 The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you . . . Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged” (Deuteronomy 31:6,8). With that reinforcement as a backdrop, Joshua moved forward. Fear couldn’t hold him back. He believed God.

Lord God my Father,

My faith is my strength and peace.
