So the Lord gave to Israel all the land he had sworn to give their ancestors, and they took possession of it and settled there. 44And the Lord gave them rest on every side, just as he had solemnly promised their ancestors. None of their enemies could stand against them, for the Lord helped them conquer all their enemies. 45Not a single one of all the good promises the Lord had given to the family of Israel was left unfulfilled; everything he had spoken came true.

Lord God my Father,

Give me the patience to trust your plan without compromise, keep me in your quiet place at rest in my thoughts so your strength can fight all I might struggle with. Allow your encouragement to protect me from being less than delighted in my efforts.

 And you will drive out the Canaanites from the valleys, too, even though they are strong and have iron chariots.”

Lord God my Father,

You are my strength, give me peace in your plan and strength to follow it.

‘The land of Canaan on which you were just walking will be your grant of land and that of your descendants forever, because you wholeheartedly followed the Lord my God.’

 But if the Lord is with me, I will drive them out of the land, just as the Lord said.”

Lord God my Father,

Give me your rest in my thoughts, allow me to follow you without ponder. May your peace lead me without distraction and be my strength.

So the Israelites examined their food, but they did not consult the Lord. 15Then Joshua made a peace treaty with them and guaranteed their safety, and the leaders of the community ratified their agreement with a binding oath.16Three days after making the treaty, they learned that these people actually lived nearby! 17The Israelites set out at once to investigate and reached their towns in three days. The names of these towns were Gibeon, Kephirah, Beeroth, and Kiriath-jearim. 18But the Israelites did not attack the towns, for the Israelite leaders had made a vow to them in the name of the Lord, the God of Israel.

There has never been a day like this one before or since, when the Lord answered such a prayer. Surely the Lord fought for Israel that day!

Joshua conquered all these kings and their land in a single campaign, for the Lord, the God of Israel, was fighting for his people.

As the Lord had commanded his servant Moses, so Moses commanded Joshua. And Joshua did as he was told, carefully obeying all the commands that the Lord had given to Moses.

 All the others were defeated. 20For the Lord hardened their hearts and caused them to fight the Israelites.

Lord God my Father,

Keep my eyes focused on you so I may only see your Truth. Use me to be a part of your amazing plan, a plan beyond understanding. Give me courage because you are in control and make my heart hard for you only.

Joshua and the elders of Israel tore their clothing in dismay, threw dust on their heads, and bowed face down to the ground before the Ark of the Lord until evening. 7Then Joshua cried out, “Oh, Sovereign Lord, why did you bring us across the Jordan River if you are going to let the Amorites kill us? 

Lord God my Father,

I am sorry for the state of your people, use me to bring your people back under your authority as you desire.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

“The Lord has given us the whole land,” they said, “for all the people in the land are terrified of us.”

Lord God my Father,

You are my strength and my purpose. Give me the wisdom and focus I need to honor you the way you deserve with my entire spirit, mind and body.

In Jesus name I pray,

I will proclaim the name of the Lord; how glorious is our God!4He is the Rock; his deeds are perfect. Everything he does is just and fair. He is a faithful God who does no wrong; how just and upright he is!5“But they have acted corruptly toward him; when they act so perversely, are they really his children?32:5 The meaning of the Hebrew is uncertain. They are a deceitful and twisted generation.6Is this the way you repay the Lord, you foolish and senseless people? Isn’t he your Father who created you? Has he not made you and established you?

 You failed to demonstrate my holiness to the people of Israel there. 52So you will see the land from a distance, but you may not enter the land I am giving to the people of Israel.”

So Moses, the servant of the Lord, died there in the land of Moab, just as the Lord had said. 6The Lord buried him34:6 Hebrew He buried him; Samaritan Pentateuch and some Greek manuscripts read They buried him.

If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter,10no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home.11For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go.

Lord God my Father,

I proclaim you as creator of all, you are my delight in life. Lord, may I delight you in my ability to allow you to have your way in my life and share your way with others as you please.

In Jesus name I pray,

That is why the Lord’s anger has burned against this land, bringing down on it every curse recorded in this book. 28In great anger and fury the Lord uprooted his people from their land and banished them to another land, where they still live today!’

“Now listen! Today I am giving you a choice between life and death, between prosperity and disaster. 16For I command you this day to love the Lord your God and to keep his commands, decrees, and regulations by walking in his ways. If you do this, you will live and multiply, and the Lord your God will bless you and the land you are about to enter and occupy.17“But if your heart turns away and you refuse to listen, and if you are drawn away to serve and worship other gods, 18then I warn you now that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live a long, good life in the land you are crossing the Jordan to occupy.

“Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! 20You can make this choice by loving the Lord your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This30:20 Or He. is the key to your life. And if you love and obey the Lord, you will live long in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”.

But they will begin to worship other gods; they will despise me and break my covenant. 21And when great disasters come down on them, this song will stand as evidence against them, for it will never be forgotten by their descendants. I know the intentions of these people, even now before they have entered the land I swore to give them.”

Lord God my Father,

Keep my heart close to your desire, protect me from the great deceiver and give me a heart that delights in you only.

In Jesus name I pray,

Do the same if you find your neighbor’s donkey, clothing, or anything else your neighbor loses. Don’t ignore your responsibility.

In this way, you will purge this evil from among you.

Lord God my Father,

Keep my heart close and my desires under your authority and make me aware of the impurity within.

In Jesus name I pray,

“Therefore, be careful to obey every command I am giving you today, so you may have strength to go in and take over the land you are about to enter. 9If you obey, you will enjoy a long life in the land the Lord swore to give to your ancestors and to you, their descendants

Today all of you are doing as you please, 9because you have not yet arrived at the place of rest, the land the Lord your God is giving you as your special possession. 

“Do not worship the Lord your God in the way these pagan peoples worship their gods. 5Rather, you must seek the Lord your God at the place of worship he himself will choose from among all the tribes—the place where his name will be honored.

“Your pattern of worship will change. Today all of you are doing as you please, 9because you have not yet arrived at the place of rest, the land the Lord your God is giving you as your special possession. 

Lord God my Father,

Keep me close and make me aware of my weakness. Hold me up as I begin to slip and make me obedient to your desire only. I wish to do my life as you designed it.
