Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. 18Tell them to use their money to do good.

Everything is pure to those whose hearts are pure. But nothing is pure to those who are corrupt and unbelieving, because their minds and consciences are corrupted. 16Such people claim they know God, but they deny him by the way they live.

If people are causing divisions among you, give a first and second warning. After that, have nothing more to do with them. 11For people like that have turned away from the truth, and their own sins condemn them.

Hold on to the pattern of wholesome teaching you learned from me—a pattern shaped by the faith and love that you have in Christ Jesus.

Lord God my Father,

Bring your peace over my thoughts, allow your Truth to settle my spirit. I trust in your plan even when I don’t understand it. Use me to express a desire for unity under your authority and turn from the division of this world. Your teaching is relevant now and forever.
