“The rich man had to admire the dishonest rascal for being so shrewd. And it is true that the children of this world are more shrewd in dealing with the world around them than are the children of the light.

“But Abraham said, ‘If they won’t listen to Moses and the prophets, they won’t be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.’”

 “If you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘May you be uprooted and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you!

‘We are unworthy servants who have simply done our duty.’”

 But Mary stayed in the house. 21Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if only you had been here, my brother would not have died. 22But even now I know that God will give you whatever you ask.”

Lord God my Father,

Give me a heart that does what it must to honor you, open my mind to expect more than my limits. Give me faith without doubt and humility to give you all credit as I do my duty. Help me to trust in you without doubt.
