Their land is full of idols; the people worship things they have made with their own hands.9So now they will be humbled, and all will be brought low—

Don’t put your trust in mere humans. They are as frail as breath. What good are they?

For Jerusalem will stumble, and Judah will fall, because they speak out against the Lord and refuse to obey him. They provoke him to his face.9The very look on their faces gives them away. They display their sin like the people of Sodom and don’t even try to hide it. They are doomed! They have brought destruction upon themselves.

So my people will go into exile far away because they do not know me.

Lord God my Father,

Keep my heart under your authority and remove my fears. Cause me to have courage to do your will above the desire of the world. Use me to spread your Love to others.

Therefore, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: “Look! I am placing a foundation stone in Jerusalem. It is a precious cornerstone that is safe to build on. Whoever believes need never be shaken. Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced. I will test you with the measuring line of justice and the plumb line of righteousness.

The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is a wonderful teacher, and he gives the farmer great wisdom.

Wash yourselves and be clean! Get your sins out of my sight. Give up your evil ways.17Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows.

Lord God my Father,

Help me to see your plan, protect me from deceit, cleanse me from my past and delight with me this day.

In Jesus name I pray,

For my people are determined to desert me. They call me the Most High, but they don’t truly honor me.

So now, come back to your God. Act with love and justice, and always depend on him.

Lord God my Father,

Harden my heart against deception and keep me open to your presence. Help me allow your peace to be my only guide.

In Jesus name I pray,

I will show love to those I called ‘Not loved. And to those I called ‘Not my people. I will say, ‘Now you are my people. ’And they will reply, ‘You are our God!’”

Lord God my Father,

Thank you for your desire to love me even when I am looking away from you, keep my heart focused on you and protected from deceit.

He remained faithful to the Lord in everything, and he carefully obeyed all the commands the Lord had given Moses. 7So the Lord was with him, and Hezekiah was successful in everything he did.

Lord God my Father,

Keep my heart close and protect me from wandering. Give me your protection.

The Lord has given me a strong warning not to think like everyone else does. He said,12“Don’t call everything a conspiracy, like they do,and don’t live in dread of what frightens them.13Make the Lord of Heaven’s Armies holy in your life.He is the one you should fear.He is the one who should make you tremble.14He will keep you safe.

Lord God my Father,

Help me to listen to your warning and live under your plan in spite of the world today.

Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me.”

Unless your faith is firm, I cannot make you stand firm.”

Lord God my Father,

Open my ears so I may hear you and grow my faith to where it has no doubt. Allow me to see your desire and follow it.

And the Lord replied, “I will test my people with this plumb line. I will no longer ignore all their sins. 

“The time is surely coming,” says the Sovereign Lord,“when I will send a famine on the land—not a famine of bread or waterbut of hearing the words of the Lord.

Lord God my Father,

Test me and show me where I am not honest, honest with you and with myself. Help me to be restored to your design and in your blessing.

In Jesus name I pray,

Hate evil and love what is good; turn your courts into true halls of justice .Perhaps even yet the Lord God of Heaven’s Armies will have mercy on the remnant of his people.

Lord God my Father,

Protect my heart from deceit, help me to keep you on my heart as you desire. Have mercy on my past and protect my future. Help me to stay with you in each moment.

When King Amaziah returned from slaughtering the Edomites, he brought with him idols taken from the people of Seir. He set them up as his own gods, bowed down in front of them, and offered sacrifices to them! 15This made the Lord very angry, and he sent a prophet to ask, “Why do you turn to gods who could not even save their own people from you?”

But Amaziah refused to listen, for God was determined to destroy him for turning to the gods of Edom. 

 O Lord, you have sent this storm upon him for your own good reasons.”

“No one, not even the animals from your herds and flocks, may eat or drink anything at all. 8People and animals alike must wear garments of mourning, and everyone must pray earnestly to God. They must turn from their evil ways and stop all their violence. 9Who can tell? Perhaps even yet God will change his mind and hold back his fierce anger from destroying us.”10When God saw what they had done and how they had put a stop to their evil ways, he changed his mind and did not carry out the destruction he had threatened.

The Lord replied, “Is it right for you to be angry about this?”

Then the Lord said, “You feel sorry about the plant, though you did nothing to put it there. It came quickly and died quickly. 11But Nineveh has more than 120,000 people living in spiritual darkness,4:11 Hebrew people who don’t know their right hand from their left. not to mention all the animals. Shouldn’t I feel sorry for such a great city?”

Lord God my Father,

Keep me from compromise, give me a heart that longs to listen to you. Discipline me as you must to keep me under your authority and my heart humble. Keep my focus on your plan alone.
