They decided to abandon the Temple of the Lord, the God of their ancestors, and they worshiped Asherah poles and idols instead! Because of this sin, divine anger fell on Judah and Jerusalem. 19Yet the Lord sent prophets to bring them back to him. The prophets warned them, but still the people would not listen.
Lord God my Father,
Keep me close and in your truth. Protect me from distraction and in your desire.
In Jesus name I pray,

So throw him out on Naboth’s property, just as the Lord said.”
“Now come with me, and see how devoted I am to the Lord.”
In this way, Jehu destroyed every trace of Baal worship from Israel.
But Jehu did not obey the Law of the Lord, the God of Israel, with all his heart. He refused to turn from the sins that Jeroboam had led Israel to commit.
Lord God my Father,
Help me to carry out your desire for me and keep me from distraction. Bring out of me all my past dysfunction and take it from me so I may be pure in my desire, the desire you shaped for me.

But Naaman became angry and stalked away. “I thought he would certainly come out to meet me!” he said. “I expected him to wave his hand over the leprosy and call on the name of the Lord his God and heal me! 12Aren’t the rivers of Damascus, the Abana and the Pharpar, better than any of the rivers of Israel? Why shouldn’t I wash in them and be healed?” So Naaman turned and went away in a rage.
“Don’t be afraid!” Elisha told him. “For there are more on our side than on theirs!” 17Then Elisha prayed, “O Lord, open his eyes and let him see!” The Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire.
Lord God my Father,
Help me to trust your control over everything in my life. Bring me your wisdom and confidence in your plan this day.
In Jesus name I pray,

And Elisha replied, “Please let me inherit a double share of your spirit and become your successor.”
But they kept urging him until they shamed him into agreeing,
“I am sure this man who stops in from time to time is a holy man of God.
Elisha got up, walked back and forth across the room once, and then stretched himself out again on the child. This time the boy sneezed seven times and opened his eyes!
And when they gave it to the people, there was plenty for all and some left over, just as the Lord had promised.
Lord God my Father,
Give me what you wish to, I only want to have your will in me. Give me the boldness to share you to all who are willing to listen. Use me as you will to serve you.

Then the angel of the Lord said to Elijah, “Go down with him, and don’t be afraid of him.”
Lord God my Father,
Open my heart to hear your voice, I only want to hear you and not this world.

“I have come because you have sold yourself to what is evil in the Lord’s sight.
“There is one more man who could consult the Lord for us, but I hate him. He never prophesies anything but trouble for me!
“Look, all the prophets are promising victory for the king. Be sure that you agree with them and promise success.”14But Micaiah replied, “As surely as the Lord lives, I will say only what the Lord tells me to say.”
At the very moment they began to sing and give praise, the Lord caused the armies of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir to start fighting among themselves.
Lord God my Father,
Protect me from distraction to your Truth, keep wise, Godly people in my life. Keep my heart in your praise at all times.

Then Elijah cried out to the Lord, “O Lord my God, why have you brought tragedy to this widow who has opened her home to me, causing her son to die?”
The Lord heard Elijah’s prayer, and the life of the child returned, and he revived!
Lord God my Father,
Give me the faith I need to Join you completely in my will. Give my desire to represent you well courage and peace.

The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.
Lord God my Father,
Help me to identify areas of my will where I am not surrendered to your desire and guide me to become whole.

Light is sweet; how pleasant to see a new day dawning.
But Rehoboam rejected the advice of the older men and instead asked the opinion of the young men who had grown up with him and were now his advisers.
his turn of events was the will of God, for it fulfilled the Lord’s message to Jeroboam son of Nebat through the prophet Ahijah from Shiloh.
“No, I cannot,” he replied. “I am not allowed to eat or drink anything here in this place. 17For the Lord gave me this command: ‘You must not eat or drink anything while you are there, and do not return to Judah by the same way you came.’”18But the old prophet answered, “I am a prophet, too, just as you are. And an angel gave me this command from the Lord: ‘Bring him home with you so he can have something to eat and drink.’” But the old man was lying to him. 19So they went back together, and the man of God ate and drank at the prophet’s home.20Then while they were sitting at the table, a command from the Lord came to the old prophet. 21He cried out to the man of God from Judah, “This is what the Lord says: You have defied the word of the Lord and have disobeyed the command the Lord your God gave you. 22You came back to this place and ate and drank where he told you not to eat or drink. Because of this, your body will not be buried in the grave of your ancestors.”
When Judah realized that they were being attacked from the front and the rear, they cried out to the Lord for help. Then the priests blew the trumpets, 15and the men of Judah began to shout. At the sound of their battle cry, God defeated Jeroboam and all Israel and routed them before Abijah and the army of Judah.
“O Lord, no one but you can help the powerless against the mighty! Help us, O Lord our God, for we trust in you alone.
So the Lord defeated the Ethiopians in the presence of Asa and the army of Judah, and the enemy fled.
Lord God my Father,
Give me discernment of your desire in this world, give me your strength to resist the deceiver, Help me keep my gaze on you at all times. All victory is yours, I am alone without you.

Accept the way God does things,for who can straighten what he has made crooked?
And this is not all that is meaningless in our world. In this life, good people are often treated as though they were wicked, and wicked people are often treated as though they were good. This is so meaningless!
Better to have wisdom than weapons of war,but one sinner can destroy much that is good.
Farmers who wait for perfect weather never plant.If they watch every cloud, they never harvest.
Lord God my Father,
Allow me to completely fall under your will for me. I am tired of trying to spread your Hope, tired of the conflict it creates. Lord fill me with your wisdom and words, take the struggle from me, allow your work to be done thru me without my desire a part of it.
