No compromise

“Come on,” they said, “make us some gods who can lead us. We don’t know what happened to this fellow Moses, who brought us here from the land of Egypt.”

Lord God my Father,

Protect me from wandering from your presence, continue to encourage me in your way so I may choose well in my thoughts and actions.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amenx

His day only

‘Be careful to keep my Sabbath day, for the Sabbath is a sign of the covenant between me and you from generation to generation. It is given so you may know that I am the Lord, who makes you holy. 14You must keep the Sabbath day, for it is a holy day for you.

Lord God my Father,

Help me to find my worth in you so I may follow your instruction for the Sabbath. Help me to remove the lies placed on my heart and surrender to your will alone. May this Sabbath be dedicated to you and not me.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

In His peace

“If only the Lord had killed us back in Egypt,” they moaned.

‘Present yourselves before the Lord, for he has heard your complaining.’”

Tomorrow will be a day of complete rest, a holy Sabbath day set apart for the Lord.

Lord God my Father,

Keep me from moaning and focused on your desire. Help me to rest in your Truth completely.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

What am I holding on to that I should release.

So Moses and Aaron did just as the Lord had commanded them.

Then you will know that I am the Lord and that I am present even in the heart of your land.

“All right, go ahead,” Pharaoh replied. “I will let you go into the wilderness to offer sacrifices to the Lord your God. But don’t go too far away. Now hurry and pray for me.”

But the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and just as the Lord had predicted to Moses, Pharaoh refused to listen.

Lord God my Father,

Open my heart and show me the stubborn areas I struggle with, I wish to freely do your will in all areas of my life, use me for your purpose, do this in your time and grant me patience in your plan.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

His will, His work.

In his hand he carried the staff of God.

But Pharaoh shouted, “You’re just lazy! Lazy! That’s why you’re saying, ‘Let us go and offer sacrifices to the Lord.

The foremen said to them, “May the Lord judge and punish you for making us stink before Pharaoh and his officials

You can be sure that I have heard the groans of the people of Israel, who are now slaves to the Egyptians. And I am well aware of my covenant with them.

But I will make Pharaoh’s heart stubborn so I can multiply my miraculous signs and wonders in the land of Egypt.

Lord God my Father,

Give me the confidence and relationships that release your power in my life. Guide me in doing your will and hear my desire to serve you. Give me persistence in doing your will.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Made perfect by my creator, crippled by doubt.

He looked down on the people of Israel and knew it was time to act.

“Here I am!” Moses replied.

11But Moses protested to God, “Who am I to appear before Pharaoh? Who am I to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt?”12God answered, “I will be with you.

But Moses protested again, “What if they won’t believe me or listen to me? What if they say, ‘The Lord never appeared to you’?”

But Moses pleaded with the Lord, “O Lord, I’m not very good with words. I never have been, and I’m not now, even though you have spoken to me. I get tongue-tied, and my words get tangled.”11Then the Lord asked Moses, “Who makes a person’s mouth? Who decides whether people speak or do not speak, hear or do not hear, see or do not see? Is it not I, the Lord?

13But Moses again pleaded, “Lord, please! Send anyone else.”14Then the Lord became angry with Moses. “All right,” he said. “What about your brother, Aaron

Lord God my Father,

I know your timing is perfect, remove my doubt in your plan and move me forward in your work. Help me to remove any doubt in my ability to do your work and deliver me to your plan without my argument. You are perfect, I am not.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Stop interrupting Him

If you lay a hand on it,you will certainly remember the battle that follows. You won’t try that again!

I take back everything I said, and I sit in dust and ashes to show my repentance.”

After the Lord had finished speaking to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite: “I am angry with you and your two friends, for you have not spoken accurately about me, as my servant Job has.

When Job prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes. In fact, the Lord gave him twice as much as before!

So the Lord blessed Job in the second half of his life even more than in the beginning.

Lord God my Father,

Your rite, I am arrogant in my thoughts, I think I have figured you out sometimes and I finish your thoughts in my head. Lord quiet me to the point I don’t think any more but listen for your guidance.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen
