when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. 3For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. 4So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.

Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years!

Lord God my Father,

Protect me from the darkness all around me and keep me in your light. Guide me and keep me from looking off your plan. Help me to understand the power you want me to use to bring Glory to you.
