Everything is pure to those whose hearts are pure. But nothing is pure to those who are corrupt and unbelieving, because their minds and consciences are corrupted.
If people are causing divisions among you, give a first and second warning. After that, have nothing more to do with them.
Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then.
So if you are suffering in a manner that pleases God, keep on doing what is right, and trust your lives to the God who created you, for he will never fail you.
Lord God my Father,
Purify my heart and keep me under your care. Remove or resolve any divisions I may have with others and keep me in the present with you and not in my past.
