But the people who did not die in these plagues still refused to repent of their evil deeds and turn to God. They continued to worship demons and idols made of gold, silver, bronze, stone, and wood—idols that can neither see nor hear nor walk! 21And they did not repent of their murders or their witchcraft or their sexual immorality or their thefts.

Lord God my Father,

Take my stubborn ways and soften my heart to surrender all of my will to follow your desire for me. Take from me the desire to worship anything other than you and make the power you give me to turn my back on the worldly ways, come to the surface and protect me. May this day be only for your Glory.

“Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches.

“But I also have a message for the rest of you in Thyatira who have not followed this false teaching (‘deeper truths,’ as they call them—depths of Satan, actually).

I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference.

Lord God my Father,

Open my eyes and ears so I may see and hear you and protect me from the ways of the world. Make me a tool you can use to bring your Glory to those around me. Remove the bindings I have placed on myself that holds me back. Take my indifference so I may live your purpose.

Grace, mercy, and peace, which come from God the Father and from Jesus Christ—the Son of the Father—will continue to be with us who live in truth and love.

Love means doing what God has commanded us, and he has commanded us to love one another, just as you heard from the beginning.

Lord God my Father,

Grant me a heart that is only sensitive to your truth, allow me to discern your truth in this sin filled world and live by your truth loving others as you designed.

“You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.”

But those who obey God’s word truly show how completely they love him. That is how we know we are living in him. 6Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did.

Dear children, keep away from anything that might take God’s place in your hearts.

Lord God my Father,

I believe because I know you, help me to know you more and finally obey completely. Help me to surrender anything in my life I worship above you.

Yet I am not alone because the Father is with me. 33I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

Glorify your Son so he can give glory back to you.

Lord God my Father,

You are always with me, when I feel alone it is me that turns away from you. Keep me ever aware of your love for and in me. May your Glory shine thru me and not be blocked by my earthly desires.

“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. 

You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. 14Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!

when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.

“If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first. 19The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world, so it hates you. 

Lord God my Father,

Bring pure trust to my heart, free me from the way of the world. It is to live by your Glory I wish to live. Allow me to come alongside the Holy Spirit in me to allow it complete control of my spirit, mind and body. May your Glory transform me, remove the fear I have in this world’s judgement.

 “Lazarus’s sickness will not end in death. No, it happened for the glory of God so that the Son of God will receive glory from this.” 

Many people did believe in him, however, including some of the Jewish leaders. But they wouldn’t admit it for fear that the Pharisees would expel them from the synagogue. 43For they loved human praise more than the praise of God.

Lord God my Father,

May all my struggles lead to your glory, help me to not see the struggle but your deliverance from it. May I be bold in my love for you and bring your truth to others as well as myself.

Lord God my Father,

Set me free of my poor choices and deliver me to your will, I want to see!

And the one who sent me is with me—he has not deserted me. For I always do what pleases him.” 

“You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings.32And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Lord God my Father,

May I do what pleases you and find freedom from my own way. May your truth rest well on me.

Spend your energy seeking the eternal life that the Son of Man6:27 “Son of Man” is a title Jesus used for himself. can give you.

“This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.”

Lord God my Father,

Help me to release my desire to control you. I wish to live by your power which has no boundary. Open my eyes and allow me to see. I only want to desire you but struggle so much with my desire. You are the only way.
