One will, my choice.

let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

But I say, if you are even angry with someone,5:22a Some manuscripts add without cause. you are subject to judgment! If you call someone an idiot,5:22b Greek uses an Aramaic term of contempt: If you say to your brother, ‘Raca.’ you are in danger of being brought before the court. And if you curse someone,5:22c Greek if you say, ‘You fool.’ you are in danger of the fires of hell.

Lord God my Father,
I pray your will to overwhelm me and for the removal of my sinful way so your actions will flow thru me in body and mind. Your will be done.

In Jesus name I pray,
Amen

His servant, completely.

The greatest among you must be a servant. 12But those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.

Hypocrites! For you are so careful to clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside you are filthy—full of greed and self-indulgence!

And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other. 11And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people. 12Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold.

Lord God my Father,
Again I plea for you to reveal in me areas I worship above you and for you to provide the strength to over come my selfish way. Help me to be your witness this day.

In Jesus name I pray,
Amen

His heart

“That’s what my heavenly Father will do to you if you refuse to forgive your brothers and sisters18:35 Greek your brother. from your heart.”

“give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and give to God what belongs to God.”

Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’22:37 Deut 6:5. 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’22:39 Lev 19:18. 40The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”

Lord God my Father,
Soften my heart, allow me to forgive all harm I have experienced from others and reveal where I need to make amends. May I give to you all you deserve, everything and trust in your plan.

In Jesus name I pray,
Amen

His servant alone.

For from the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, all sexual immorality, theft, lying, and slander. 20These are what defile you. Eating with unwashed hands will never defile you.”

“You are blessed, Simon son of John. because my Father in heaven has revealed this to you.

“You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.

Lord God my Father,
Cleanse my heart, remove my evil tendency and purify my soul. Build my faith to overcome my weakness and build me into your servant. Use me for your will.

In Jesus name I pray,
Amen

His hope for our future.

Kingdom of Heaven has been forcefully advancing,11:12 Or the Kingdom of Heaven has suffered from violence. and violent people are attacking it.

A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart.

Lord God my Father,
I pray you will raise an army of your people to protect your kingdom here on earth. Bring boldness to the good to bring your truth to this fallen nation. Expose evil for what it is and protect our leaders who choose to do good from the evil desire of the fallen.

In Jesus name I pray,
Amen

Peace filled surrender

Joseph, to whom she was engaged, was a righteous man and did not want to disgrace her publicly,

Lord appeared to him in a dream.

And they left their nets at once and followed him.

They immediately followed him, leaving the boat and their father behind.

Lord God my Father,
I want to be a good man but I struggle. I struggle to understand, to control, to have my way. Lord God, help me to allow you complete use of me, take my doubt, allow me to understand surrender.

In Jesus name,
Amen
