“Master,” Simon replied, “we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.” 6And this time their nets were so full of fish they began to tear!

But Jesus often withdrew to the wilderness for prayer.

Lord God my Father,
May I listen to you as to where to place my efforts. I wish to bring you glory but only fail at the smallest task. Allow my faith to be based on you, not my self image. May my energy come from you alone.

In Jesus name I pray,

He was filled with wisdom, and God’s favor was on him.

Then he returned to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them.

Lord God my Father,
I pray for your wisdom and wish to be obedient only to you. Deliver me from my struggles and give me focus on your path. Allow the power you place in me to overcome my struggles and bring Peace to my soul.

In Jesus name I pray,

and he will cause those who are rebellious to accept the wisdom of the godly.”

For the Mighty One is holy,
and he has done great things for me.

Lord God my Father,
Create in me a spirit that honors you and is eager to follow you. I wish to obey you completely but still struggle. Your will be done in spite of temptation.

“I have sinned,” he declared, “for I have betrayed an innocent man.”
“What do we care?” they retorted. “That’s your problem.”

The leading priests picked up the coins. “It wouldn’t be right to put this money in the Temple treasury,” they said, “since it was payment for murder.”

And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Lord God my Father,
Free will so often separates me from your will for me. I pray you work in me to build power over temptation and keep me in your will alone. Give me discernment to your truth and your power to resist sin.

The Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

But even though they found many who agreed to give false witness, they could not use anyone’s testimony.

Lord God my Father,
Keep me from my sinful nature, keep me focused in your glory so the temper cannot get a grip on me.
May I be grounded in your truth.

In Jesus name I pray,

So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!”

Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness?

Lord God my Father,
Use me to spread your message without my filter messing it up. Create in me a pure heart that carries your love and surrenders my issues to your care.

In Jesus name I pray,

When people commend themselves, it doesn’t count for much. The important thing is for the Lord to commend them.

Be joyful. Grow to maturity. Encourage each other. Live in harmony and peace. Then the God of love and peace will be with you.

Lord God my father,
May I find all my value in you, you are all I need. I admit I struggle with the ways of this world and I wish to live completely in you. Help me to let go of my and surrender completely to your way so I may be strong by you alone.

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

All glory to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, forever. Amen.

Lord God my Father,
You are my hope and joy and I trust you in all things. Help me with my desire to control what I can’t and align my desire to yours. Create a discernment to those who deceive and place truth on my heart, a loving truth. It is you that brings life, may I completely follow you.

Let me say first that I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith in him is being talked about all over the world.

So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law.

Lord God my Father,
To know you is life, help me to know you more and follow you without distraction. Keep me in your shadow and help me to find all my worth in you not this world so I may only have your will to direct my thoughts and actions.

Suddenly, Jesus’ words flashed through Peter’s mind:

Lord God my Father,
You are my only hope, You know me completely, you know my weakness. Take from me the weakness I carry and build me with your truth into the person I was created to be.
