Fathers can give their sons an inheritance of houses and wealth,
but only the Lord can give an understanding wife.
You can make many plans,
but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.
A youngster’s heart is filled with foolishness,
but physical discipline will drive it far away.
Lord God my Father,
Bless my family, give us wisdom in how we “hear” each other. Bring unity and understanding to our words and thoughts, remove pride and selfish thinking. Place your purpose for us in our hearts, make us wise in our hearts.
