To only see His Truth

I am sending you to the Gentiles 18to open their eyes, so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God.

So take courage! For I believe God.

‘Go and say to this people:
When you hear what I say,
you will not understand.
When you see what I do,
you will not comprehend.
27For the hearts of these people are hardened,
and their ears cannot hear,
and they have closed their eyes—
so their eyes cannot see,
and their ears cannot hear,
and their hearts cannot understand,
and they cannot turn to me
and let me heal them.’

Lord God my Father,
Allow me to have open eyes to see and hear you, allow me to serve you without hesitation. Completely open my eyes to take in your wonder and give me boldness to take your truth to those around me. Use me for your will and remove my sinful way so I can freely live in your desire above my own.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Oh to truly believe the Truth.

there are many whose conduct shows they are really enemies of the cross of Christ. 19They are headed for destruction. Their god is their appetite, they brag about shameful things, and they think only about this life here on earth.

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand.

Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners.

Everything is pure to those whose hearts are pure. But nothing is pure to those who are corrupt and unbelieving, because their minds and consciences are corrupted. 16Such people claim they know God, but they deny him by the way they live. They are detestable and disobedient, worthless for doing anything good.

If people are causing divisions among you, give a first and second warning. After that, have nothing more to do with them. 11For people like that have turned away from the truth, and their own sins condemn them.

Lord God, align my spirit and thoughts with yours so my actions will only bring glory to you. Keep me from the path of destruction, may I only desire you. May I stay in a constant state of prayer and when worldly distractions strike me, protect me and keep me in your truth. Keep my thoughts pure and true, keep me on your path but when I stray, give me power over temptation so I may return to your path.

In Jesus name,
Amen

His nature, not mine

Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. 6So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.

you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do.

Lord God,
I need your deliverance from my ways, I pray Lord that I may live to please you and you alone. My way is full of darkness and I need your protection to keep me in the light and out of the darkness. Thank you for designing me to never have more temptation than I can overcome, With your grace. May I only do what your nature ask in me.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Clean in spirit

So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. 25They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen.

Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done. 29Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, quarreling, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip.

For merely listening to the law doesn’t make us right with God. It is obeying the law that makes us right in his sight.

For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. 24Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.

Lord God,
Thank you for not abandoning me when I fall short and thank you for your never ending patience and love. May I only see your truth in this world and be blinded to the sin I have fallen into in the past. May the world turn back to you in truth and service so you will once again be brought to Glory in all our hearts. Forgive me for my past and help me to forgive myself.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Single focus in my life

We faced conflict from every direction, with battles on the outside and fear on the inside

So to keep me from becoming proud, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger from Satan to torment me and keep me from becoming proud.

And I will be grieved because many of you have not given up your old sins. You have not repented of your impurity, sexual immorality, and eagerness for lustful pleasure.

Lord God,
Protect me from the overwhelming ways of the world, Keep me in your protection and give me discernment over the thoughts I accept as true and remove all that are not of you. Allow my struggles to bring me closer to you and purify my spirit, thoughts and actions to bring you glory.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Freedom in the struggles

If the Good News we preach is hidden behind a veil, it is hidden only from people who are perishing. 4Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe.

Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are4:16 Greek our inner being is. being renewed every day. 17For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!

Lord God,
Give me faith that removes the veil completely so I may live completely in your will. Give me strength over the struggles of this world and release the Glory of your plan in my life.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Protection and freedom

Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world,

Yet preaching the Good News is not something I can boast about. I am compelled by God to do it. How terrible for me if I didn’t preach the Good News!

He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.

Lord God,
Remove my distracted way and help me become diligent in wearing your armor to protect me from the desires of this world that separate me from you. Join me in this fight to live only in your will. May my actions witness to this world your awesome power and hope. Stand between temptation and me and show me the path that brings freedom to my life.

In Jesus name,
Amen
