Looking straight at him, Paul realized he had faith to be healed.
when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. 4So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.
God is never tempted to do wrong,1:13 Or God should not be put to a test by evil people. and he never tempts anyone else. 14Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away. 15These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death.
So whatever you say or whatever you do, remember that you will be judged by the law that sets you free.
If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom.
Resist the devil, and he will flee from you
Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.
Lord God,
Remove doubt from my spirit, may I only live in your truth. Give me power over the struggles of this world so my faith in you will overwhelm the struggle and reveal your truth. Remove my sinful nature and deliver me to your ways only. May I identify the law you put before me I struggle with so I may be set free from it by submitting to your truth. Give me your wisdom so I may live all of my life for you. Protect me and banish Satan from my presence, may I only serve you.
