Then the Lord said to Elijah, 3“Go to the east and hide by Kerith Brook, near where it enters the Jordan River. 4Drink from the brook and eat what the ravens bring you, for I have commanded them to bring you food.”
And he stretched himself out over the child three times and cried out to the Lord, “O Lord my God, please let this child’s life return to him.”
prove today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant.
It was such a terrible blast that the rocks were torn loose, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. 12And after the earthquake there was a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire there was the sound of a gentle whisper. 13When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his cloak and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave.
Lord God,
May I have a faith so pure that I don’t question you on anything. May I place my entire life in your care. Give me a faith that can reach others and stand strong against this fallen world. May I here your gentle whisper in this loud world.
In Jesus name,
Amen
