Stubborn, oh yea. May I be stubborn for the Lord, not me

Then I realized that my heart was bitter,
and I was all torn up inside.

Yet I still belong to you;
you hold my right hand.
24You guide me with your counsel,
leading me to a glorious destiny.

So each generation should set its hope anew on God,
not forgetting his glorious miracles
and obeying his commands.
8Then they will not be like their ancestors—
stubborn, rebellious, and unfaithful,
refusing to give their hearts to God.

But in spite of this, the people kept sinning.
Despite his wonders, they refused to trust him.

Lord God,
I ask you to take my nature from me, my sinful nature and protect me from my past. Lord God, may I follow you without the rebellious spirit of my past, may I wholeheartedly open myself up to your council and not stray from your path you put before me before my birth. May I simply delight in your way and not the way of this world or my desire.
In Jesus name,
Amen
