Among the plunder I saw a beautiful robe from Babylon, 200 silver coins, and a bar of gold weighing more than a pound. I wanted them so much that I took them.
And all the Israelites stoned Achan and his family and burned their bodies.
So the lord was no longer angry.
Lord God my father,
I submit to your authority and confess my sins to you. There are things in my life I want even when they are bad for me and forbidden by you. I have idols in my life that come before you. Lord God I am tired of fighting your will. Give me power to slay the idols in my life and worship you wholehearted this day.
