And Abram believed the lord, and the lord counted him as righteous because of his faith.

The angel of the lord said to her, “Return to your mistress, and submit to her authority.” 10Then he added, “I will give you more descendants than you can count.”

Sarah was afraid, so she denied it, saying, “I didn’t laugh.”
But the lord said, “No, you did laugh.”

So the lord told Abraham, “I have heard a great outcry from Sodom and Gomorrah, because their sin is so flagrant.

And the lord replied, “Then I will not destroy it for the sake of the ten.”

Lord God, soften my ways so your ways can transform me, give me obedience so I may use your wisdom to do your will.

Then the lord said to Job,
2“Do you still want to argue with the Almighty?
You are God’s critic, but do you have the answers?”

I had only heard about you before,
but now I have seen you with my own eyes.
6I take back everything I said,
and I sit in dust and ashes to show my repentance.”

Lord God,
How do I brace myself to answer to you, Lord God it is only in your power I can stand in this world. Lord God, May I allow your power and peace to flow thru me and may I not challenge your way but submit all I am to your way. Lord God, may I truly get to know you and allow you to be my God wholeheartedly.

For God speaks again and again,
though people do not recognize it.

Who gives intuition to the heart
and instinct to the mind?

Lord God my creator,
Strike my arrogance from me and replace my so called wisdom with your desire, help me to release my way so I may walk closely with you this day. Lord God, make my heart soft so I may hear you and all your wisdom without my past to influence it. May I walk with you and delight you this day.

I helped those without hope, and they blessed me.

“Have I tried to hide my sins like other people do,
concealing my guilt in my heart?

Lord God,
May I have the integrity of Job, May I desire to remove the worldly lies from my spirit and focus only on your desires. May I live a life without blame and please you with all I do.

Even if I have sinned,
that is my concern, not yours.
5You think you’re better than I am,
using my humiliation as evidence of my sin.
6But it is God who has wronged me,
capturing me in his net.

“But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives,
and he will stand upon the earth at last.
26And after my body has decayed,
yet in my body I will see God!
27I will see him for myself.
Yes, I will see him with my own eyes.
I am overwhelmed at the thought!

Lord God, May I care only of your desire, not the desire of this world, protect me from conforming to worldly ways, reveal your way to me and give me power over my earthly desire and only focus on you.

God might kill me, but I have no other hope.
I am going to argue my case with him.
16But this is what will save me—I am not godless.
If I were, I could not stand before him.

O Lord God,
You alone are in control, I fool myself by being in control, only by my complete surrender to your desires for me will I find peace. Lord God, give me the strength and wisdom to be obedient to you and to stop wallowing in my own pity. Help me to turn loose your power bottled up in me so I may live complete in your glory.

Then I could speak to him without fear,
but I cannot do that in my own strength.

Lord God,
I am too weak to breathe or to walk on your earth. I am weary and tired of this struggle, I give up.
Lord God, take this broken life and put it together under your authority, my way leads me back into darkness. I am a failure on my own. Lord God, I give up, I surrender, I have no more desires.
I submit wholeheartedly to you.

a man of complete integrity. He feared God and stayed away from evil.

Then they sat on the ground with him for seven days and nights. No one said a word to Job, for they saw that his suffering was too great for words.

Lord God,
May I be a man of integrity, May my thoughts be pure and my heart focused on you. Lord God, I lift up my children and wife and pray for protection for them, shine your light on them and open their hearts to accept your council. May I support and pray for them from a true loving position, to bring your glory to light in this world of darkness.

6“Why are you so angry?” the lord asked Cain. “Why do you look so dejected? 7You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master.”

6So the lord was sorry he had ever made them and put them on the earth. It broke his heart.

Lord God,
Make me aware of any anger living in my spirit so I may surrender it to your care, Allow me to love unconditionally and remove my sin nature that creates the anger in me and deliver me from the desires of this world so I may only delight you, not disappoint you.

Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good!

And you will desire to control your husband,
but he will rule over you.

Lord God,
may I see only your good around me, Protect me from seeking this worlds sinful pleasures. Allow me to lead my family with your wisdom and focus. May we delight you in our worship. May I be obedient to you.
