Though I am innocent, my own mouth would pronounce me guilty.
Though I am blameless, it would prove me wicked.
32“God is not a mortal like me,
so I cannot argue with him or take him to trial.
33If only there were a mediator between us,
someone who could bring us together.
“You people really know everything, don’t you?
And when you die, wisdom will die with you!
“But true wisdom and power are found in God;
counsel and understanding are his.
If only you could be silent!
That’s the wisest thing you could do.
6Listen to my charge;
pay attention to my arguments.
“Be silent now and leave me alone.
Let me speak, and I will face the consequences.
14Why should I put myself in mortal danger
and take my life in my own hands?
15God might kill me, but I have no other hope.
I am going to argue my case with him.
To be in such a relationship with God that I may hear all his counsel in all things and act on them. To release what I think is wisdom and replace it with His truth.
Lord God,
release me from the bindings that restrict me from living completely in your truth. Help me to release what I think is wisdom and rely on your truth to guide my thoughts and way in this world.
In Jesus name,
Amen
