Now Joshua son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him.
With mighty power, Moses performed terrifying acts in the sight of all Israel.

May I be full of wisdom from the Lord. May I surround myself with Godly people.

Lord God, I thank you for your word and the instructions you provide. May I truly understand the freedom and Joy that comes from surrendering to your way.

If you do not serve the lord your God with joy and enthusiasm for the abundant benefits you have received,
you will serve your enemies whom the lord will send against you.

There you will offer to sell yourselves to your enemies as slaves, but no one will buy you.”
“Therefore, obey the terms of this covenant so that you will prosper in everything you do.
“The lord our God has secrets known to no one. We are not accountable for them, but we and our children are accountable forever for all that he has revealed to us, so that we may obey all the terms of these instructions.

I struggle with wholehearted surrender. I think the answer is to joyfully serve the lord. Release my attitude and heart to Him and totally live in His light, then I think wholehearted will become my nature.

Lord God, Thank you for your word, help me to surrender to “see” you in these words and surrender to your way and allow it to become my way. Thank you for opening my eyes, now remove the scales that still block my vision of you.

However, it is not a sin to refrain from making a vow. 23But once you have voluntarily made a vow, be careful to fulfill your promise to the lord your God.

A vow is sacred and must be followed. I need to build my faith to the point that I can enter into a vow to surrender and follow the purpose God has put in me.

Lord God,
Help me to surrender my sin nature and identify areas of my life I need to surrender to you. Help me to stay on the path that leads to your desire for me.

1“When you go out to fight your enemies and you face horses and chariots and an army greater than your own, do not be afraid. The lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, is with you!
8“Then the officers will also say, ‘Is anyone here afraid or worried? If you are, you may go home before you frighten anyone else.

God has, is and will perform miracles. The faith that destroys fear and worries I refuse to completely destroy with my faith in God is all that holds me back form complete victory.

Lord God,
I come to you completely exhausted from my lack of faith that blocks you from delivering me from my enemies. My enemies of sinful habits and attitudes. Please help me identify the enemy within and surrender totally to your will. Allow my faith to become a fortress to protect me.

“But be careful. Don’t let your heart be deceived so that you turn away from the lord and serve and worship other gods.
“So commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these words of mine.
Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.

I need to make the presence of the Lord louder than the worlds presence.

Lord God, May I amplify your presence in my life to overtake the world around me. May you be first in my thoughts and last each day.

Beware that in your plenty you do not forget the lord your God and disobey his commands, regulations, and decrees
Do not forget that he led you through the great and terrifying wilderness with its poisonous snakes and scorpions, where it was so hot and dry.
Remember the lord your God. He is the one who gives you power to be successful,
don’t say in your hearts, ‘The lord has given us this land because we are such good people!’
The lord your God will drive these nations out ahead of you only because of their wickedness,
But you rebelled against the command of the lord your God and refused to put your trust in him or obey him. 24Yes, you have been rebelling against the lord as long as I have known you.

There is a fine line in our hearts between confidence and arrogance. It is so easy to take credit for the blessings the Lord has given me and not give thanks as I should. God doesn’t bless me because I am so good or seek him at times, He blesses me because he love’s me, that’s all.

Lord God,
Help me to live as the person you designed me to be and follow the path you created me to follow. Allow my desire to come from you and live in harmony with you in all things.

Perhaps you will think to yourselves, ‘How can we ever conquer these nations that are so much more powerful than we are?’ 18But don’t be afraid of them! Just remember what the lord your God did to Pharaoh and to all the land of Egypt.

How can I conquer these sin habits living in me? The Lord is in me and I have to surrender wholeheartedly all of myself to him. Then sin has no place to hide, It will be a slow process or other sin nature things will move in.

Lord God,
Help, again I say help. Help me to surrender all my thoughts over to you, help me to remove my filter that I place over things I see and think and replace it with your Holy, perfect filter.

Do not add to or subtract from these commands I am giving you. Just obey the commands of the lord your God that I am giving you.
For what great nation has a god as near to them as the lord our God is near to us whenever we call on him?
But from there you will search again for the lord your God. And if you search for him with all your heart and soul, you will find him.

God Spells out with great detail how I should live, I tend to justify changes in his detailed instructions to justify my will over his instructions. He is near when I call on him so why don’t I call on him at all times. Why do I not search for him with all my heart and soul even thou I know he will meet me if I do.
Sin is still too important in my life.

Lord God again I come to you asking for your power to be the only power in me. Release me from the grip Satan has over me and fortify my spirit to resist his attacks. Restore me to what you created me for and allow me to experience your great Joy in all I do.

The Word made flesh.

By spending time in the word we get to know Jesus and by meditation on the word we allow Jesus to teach us.

Lord God, open my heart to want you.

But the lord our God handed him over to us, and we crushed him, his sons, and all his people. 34We conquered all his towns and completely destroyed everyone—men, women, and children. Not a single person was spared. 35We took all the livestock as plunder for ourselves, along with anything of value from the towns we ransacked.

The Lord wants to hand over our enemies if we will follow his command. Then we will have riches of plunder abundant. We learn from our struggles, as we overcome them we grow in confidence, experience and courage as a benefit of the struggle. God wants to hand over riches but we are stubborn and have our own ideas of how this life should go.

Lord God, Help me to trust in you to hand over the enemies in my life, help me to completely wipe out all evil I live with and allow to separate me from your glory.
